SPOT CUT is a temporary installation in which semi-transparent orange dots are fixed on a high, old transom window in the old Ceres factory building in Aarhus.

The dots are organised according to a grid that is partially dissolved, mirrored or broken down to form entirely new organic formations, patterns and figures.

When the dots and the transoms interfere with the sunlight, the pulsing traffic and people walking by outside the window, a new autonomous system of shadows and light is formed. A three-dimensional and fragmented spatial snapshot that momentarily disintegrates and disappears again.

SPOT CUT was a part of the art festival INTERFERENS organised by ProKK, September 2010
